While ALttL’s stages are usually not too hard, there are a few difficulty spikes along the way and a few where, even if the solution makes sense, it seems a little arbitrary. Watching for little details like this can go a long way in guiding you through a puzzle, even if you’re using a more trial-and-error approach. It’s a clear sign you got that one right. There are so many awkwardly shaped tools, all cluttered in a pile at the bottom, and they hang so precariously that just nudging one tool with another can send everything falling to the table again.īut, note that if you get a tool in the right spot, it will hang securely and can’t be knocked off by the others. For example, in one stage where you have to hang tools on a wall, the answer at first seems impenetrable. When shuffling your components or clicking around like this, you might see relationships you hadn’t noticed, or realize that those two pieces fit together nicely, or that object does something when you move it, etc.Įven in its more obscure moments, the game tends to leave little hints or breadcrumbs leading you to the answer if you can figure out what they are. There’s no shame in just grabbing stuff and placing it around randomly. Sometimes you might not be sure where to begin, but that’s okay.
